CFWS depends on member participation to fulfill its’ mission. There are a number of opportunities for you to get involved by volunteering to be a board member, assist a board member in their duties or joining a committee in organizing the various events held throughout the season.
We currently need a Plein Air coordinator and individuals to assist with the Annual Show. Board position openings will be posted for your consideration as the need arises.
Descriptions of the various Board positions are described here.
The 2016-17 Membership Directory has been distributed to the current membership in .pdf format via email. If you are current in your membership but did not receive your copy, contact our membership coordinator.
There will not be a printed version of the directory. The directory will be updated periodically during the season and redistributed.
To CFWS Board Members:
A big thanks to all of you. I know that many of you get together over the summer to work on CFWS business. Membership (compiles the list); Hospitality meets to prepare the nametags, etc.; Newsletter starts generating interest in the new season; Treasurer looks over the books and advises; Webmaster studies and creates better communication venues for us; VP starts preparations for the Holiday Party; Show Chairs start working on the new contracts; Workshops and Registrar start preparations for the artists who are slated and for the participant; Publicity keeps the public informed with press releases, our mail assist continues to forward mail to treasury; library prepares our educational materials, our secretary assists as needed and works with our “seasoned” board advisors on special projects. You all help so much and I look forward to another year of “fast and furious fun!”

We will publish news items that just can’t wait for the monthly WaterMark newsletter. Submit your news or announcement for the newsletter the same way you have in the past, suggest we add it as a online post and we will get you published. We can also include images in your post. Send to WaterMark via email.
We have moved our website to the WordPress architecture allowing CFWS to explored dynamic ways to get content to you. WP allows for content management to be performed by a group of “authors.” Our authoring group is small for now as we learn. As we do, we hope to add more interesting watercolor content to the site.
We want to post your announcement, invitation, item for sale, learning opportunity here for you. Submit your content to web content and we will happily review it and get it posted.
We hope you find this to be a positive change and welcome your comments. Contact the web admin.
