December 16, Saturday - 11am - 4pm December 16, 2017 from 11 – 3 pm - Community Outreach and Plein Air Event at the Altamonte Chapel campus. This is an opportunity for the Central Florida Watercolor Society to do some outreach encouraged by our mission statement. Four volunteers will staff tables, with paper, pencils, and watercolors, for families to try some plein air painting. Our next Plein Air is at Kraft Azalea Park Gardens in Winter Park. 5.22 acre public garden located on the shore of lake Maitland, open 8 am until dusk. Shaded by enormous cypress trees, and the Exedra is close to Lake Maitland, ideal for sunset weddings.Find out more »
Our next Plein Air event is at Dickson Azalea Park in downtown Orlando. There are trails, bridges, a stream, birds, tables and historic old trees. Dickson Azalea Park has a lot of history in the Orlando area – it was originally a watering hole for cattle herders, and officially became a City of Orlando park in 1924.
