The by-laws committee was thanked again, especially Cindy and Ann. The members were reminded that the by-laws were passed at last months meeting, and can now be found at our website.

The bus trip to the convention was a great success, thanks to Nancy Larkin! We had a chance to take in some demo’s by accomplished artists, buy art supplies at the trade show, mingle, socialize and see the Florida Watercolor show in person. The catalog does not do the art justice… it was wonderful! Congrats to all who were juried in!
Members were asked to fill out a workshop survery and put in the basket.
The member book was sent by Janet Asbury to every member’s email address. The digital copy saves the club money, and is easy to change as updates come in regularly.
Member’s were reminded of their art discount card, that is behind their name card in the plastic holder. Local art stores will offer discounts to CFWS members!
Interested members were invited to attend the board meetings. Next one is October 20th, at 10 a.m. at the Casselberry Library.
The Casselberry Art show at the art house was explained, so everyone can start planning for that. Mary Dall, president, can field any questions.
A few members stood up to make announcements.
October 15 is our first Plein Air, in Casselberry at Lake Concord Park. Our host is Sally Hall.
Plein Air will be hosted in November by Rebecca Wilkinson on November 12th in Chuluota.
We took a break to grab some munchies and then settled down to a wonderful and educational demonstration of painting light and shadows by Lynn Ferris. At the end of the demo she drew a number and Dot Cline was the lucky winner of the demo painting! Thank you Lynn, for a great time!
