Arrival time: 11 AM. Prepare to assist Rachel Frisby, Polesek coordinator, set up tables, chairs, easels, tent. Get familiar with the property, organize. Plein aire session will end at 4 pm.
Thank you members. We have filled the artist spots and expect a great plein air day – see you there.
What to bring: paints, your water container, your brushes, your paper, your clips to hold your paper (could be a windy day), a chair or seat if you like to sit while painting, a French paint box/easel if you like to paint standing, a folding table if you like to lay out your supplies, an umbrella if you are sun-shy, or simply locate in the shade. Sun screen. A bag lunch, if necessary. And dress for the weather. Bring business cards if you have them.
Art Sales: Polasek presentation easels will be provided to display any art that depicts the museum and gardens. This displayed work can be for sale. Please have any work displayed accompanied with title, artist name, price/NFS. The art and will be located in the greeting area on the patio called the ‘Stations of the Cross’, located immediately out the museum’s back door. Artists are not to display or have work for sale at their work location. Paintings completed during the event can be placed for sale until event ends at 4pm.
Parking: Parking is free and on a first come-first served basis. There is space on Polasek grounds, in the shade, on paved pad and grass. If on-site parking is entirely taken, off-premise parking is available at the city library, and Dinky Dock marina/beach. Artists can drop off their materials prior to parking off-site and walk back. Both off-site parking areas are one block away. (At the traffic light you can either turn right for the library, or left for Dinky Dock.)
Please, if participating, wear your CFWS badge to identify yourself to the Polasek staff and public.
