Ken Austin. three day workshop in February.
Ken Austin, FWS, NWS, will present his fun, informative "Moving Toward Modern" workshop at the Art League of Daytona Beach on February 6, 7, and 8. This is not a strictly abstract workshop, but is largely technique driven, and focuses on design concept, art history and learning to treat the usual realist presentation with techniques that give it a semi-abstract feel, more spontaneity, and a fresh look.

Cindy Sturla offers a continuing beginner class
each Tuesday from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. A more
advanced class meets on Fridays from 10:00 am
to 1:00 pm. Plein air outings will start in mid-
October. Gallery on First, 211 East 1st Street in

CFWS Stewart Jones is continuing watercolor workshops in his Gallery in Sanford. Two Saturdays each month a different topic and subject will be demonstrated. Each workshop participant will work along as the demonstration is completed step-by-step. Students may elect to take one session or more. New Ideas in Watercolor and Acrylic are necessity since the new rules apply in the Florida Watercolor Society, CFWS Nancy McDonald is teaching the combination of the two medias. She worked in Acrylic for many years doing research in acrylics before they were even on the market in the USA. Watercolor is my media but now combining them is a wonderful idea. Join the class..$7.00 each class... correct change please. Tuesdays 9 am. to 1 pm... great lighting, big tables, one story building, no stairs. CFWS Roberta Lerman Watercolor Classes has some openings in her art and watercolor class on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:30. The classes are ongoing, not divided into sessions, and take place at the Maitland Senior Center, Maitland Avenue. There is a demo at the beginning of each class. CFWS Karen Bowden offers 2-hour acrylic painting classes on most weekends every month. You can register online. Please see the Class Schedule for details and information.

The workshops are held at the Maitland Art Center.
Space is limited and reserved on a first pay basis.
A 50% deposit with the balance due one month prior to start will reserve your spot.
