Founding member and longtime artist, Roberta Lerman did a great demo for our group.  Even though she is retired she still has an art class at the Maitland Sr. Center on Wed. afternoons. She designed our original logo egret design with the paintbrush for the eye and beak and named our newsletter The WaterMark.

She discussed the eight points of Self Critique that artists should ask themselves about their work. Such as, is there anything in my painting that is confusing?  Do I have a strong focal point?

We had 48 members and 2 guests at our February meeting.

March 4, 5, 6, MICHAEL HOLTER, workshop, 9 – 4 pm, at McRae Art Studios is filled and a wait list has been started.

Our 20th Anniversary show starts in a few weeks, look for drop off dates for your art and mark your calendars for the garden party reception on March 15 from 6 – 8pm.

Marcela made announcements of 2 February and 3 March Plein Air events. Feb. 23 is Porch Fest. March 16 at Cornell/Rollins.

Orlando Science Center has extended an invitation for our plein air painters to come back March 17 to paint around the center.
