Demo: Karen Bowden showed us the tracing paper technique followed by using a Tracer to enlarge photos. Tracing is not cheating. Draw on tracing paper first to work out composition. You can use graphite paper or make your own by rubbing the back of the paper. The Tracer is a projector that can work with your smart phone. It does not show detailed images so you do have to know how to draw. When using the phone use the highest setting of brightness. The app “Sketchbook” is useful. Reduce the opacity to trace. Draw on a different layer using a finger or stylus. Screen capture the drawing. Put the iPad under the sketcher but don’t plug it in. The iPad will be the light source. You can hide or unhide the drwing. When finished you can print your drawing on 90# watercolor paper using Photoshop.
