Sandi announced: We are sending our updated by laws one month ahead of time and will vote on them at the holiday meeting. Dec. 6

Sandi is looking for 2 volunteers

  1.  Order t-shirts and apron
  2. Someone to take home the sound system store it and set it up. Directions are in the case.

The Holiday Party needs volunteers, Joan passed around the sign up list.

Tom Jones  talked about FWS he has been doing demonstrations on the trade floor for 34 years. The artist demonstrations are FREE.  Members should attend FWS!

Susan G. (workshop) then announced the 3 day, ZOOM “Bridging Abstract and Realism” workshop by Alexis Lavine. Nov. 11 – 13, 2026. We send Alexis our reference photo in advance. She will give individual advice. TIMES: 10am-12pm lunch 1pm-3pm

In 2027: Judy Saltzman – Will be doing a 3 day workshop at SOBO and a demonstration at our April 4 members meeting. Judy is a Signature Member: NWS, AWS, TWSA, FWS, ASMA, WIW and president of the National Watercolor Society.

Lois H. says we have 136 members 10 new since May! She also mentioned that Chauncey has moved to Ohio and we gave him an honorary membership.

The popular “Show & Tell” was a big success, with lots of new art to see!

Sandi tried an abstract of bubbles.
Mary did the hanging of our artwork, from the Orlando Science Center exhibit.
New member, Terry, did a lovely white cereus flower.
Terry also did a painting titled “Wizard”.
Loan did a painting of her son, grandson and Pokeman.
Pat painted and Alaskan landscape.
Faye did a city scene from Bergen, Norway.
Roberta painted her husband playing with some children. She did it 3x’s.
Sharon tried a bear in a loose, abstract style.
New member Sue painted a tropical landscape scene from Laos, Thailand.
Karen did a white tiger on green.
Marie did a close up of a Great Blue Heron.
Joan holds up Starr’s painting of a barn in a country landscape.
Michele did a painting of a man and woman for a friend.
Haley painted a tree in Japan.
Haley also showed the group her painting of a Puffin bird.
Judy did a portrait of a woman in a classic style.
Thouraya painted a soft, impressionistic landscape.
Terri held up her practice painting and a print of the finished dinosaur (at the OSC).
Jane showed 2 watercolor & gouache landscape paintings she did in a workshop.
Dawn painted a blue and gold abstract.
Karen painted a value study and color painting of Chauncey.
Eliza got one of her paintings printed on a bag at fine art America.

A good time was had by all! See you at future events, it will be a great season!
