The Central Florida Watercolor Society has been awarded a United Arts Grant to fund projects, during the 2018-2019 season, with the goal to provide free opportunities for the Central Florida community to gain hands-on experience in using watercolors.

Demonstrations are free to the public and involve members of the society teaching the art of watercolor at our various Pop Up/Plein Air events around town. Pop Up events at the Albin Polasek Museum, Harry P. Leu Gardens and the Altamonte Chapel, just to name a few, have been very well received by the public. We have several more planned for the upcoming fall and spring.

We will be looking for at least 2 or 3 watercolor artists to demonstrate the unique aspects of watercolor painting and answering questions, in an informal atmosphere. Participating artists will share various approaches to watercolor and will include a display of materials and personal artwork.
