We began our new season with lots of announcements. This has been a busy year and we will look forward to another action packed season!
Sandi B. announced our Holiday Party would be at Kingswood Manor, thank you to Michel O. for setting this up for us!

Diane D. talked about membership and how Lois H. would now be the new Membership Chair. Congratulations to Lois and a big “Thank You” to Diane for doing an outstanding job!
Roberta announced our 50/50 which we hold at each meeting and handed out the tickets to participants.

Orlando. Registration comes with Video Replays you can enjoy after the Convention to see any
demos you missed.

SOBO Exhibit for Nov./Dec. – Call to CFWS artists for the end of the year show at the SOBO Art Gallery in Winter Garden. Enter by Sept. 30, through the form on our website. Must be a member. Entries can be older paintings, no theme, but our CFWS Show Standards apply. See the website for more details and the entry form. Since our November Sunday meeting conflicts with the drop off at SOBO, Sandi will get permission for us to drop off on Saturday.
Susan G. announced a workshop: Nov. 13 & 14th from 9am – 4p Donna Morrison will teach “A Brush with Your Wild Side”. Fees: $185 members early bird, $210 after Oct. 14 and $235 for Non-members. Members attending the FWS convention can see Donna doing a demo on Friday at 9 am. And we have posted the supply list in case you want to do some shopping ahead of time at the FWS trade show. 😊

A Brush With Your Wild Side

Our second workshop will be March 2 – 4, 2026. Abstract art with Teresa Kirk, at SOBO Art Gallery in Winter Garden. Our annual members show will be there. More details are in the works.
After announcements we had members step up to “Show and Tell” what they did this past summer. We had 13 members share their summer adventures in painting. Judi painted orchids. Julie painted colorful flowers in a yellow vase. Terri brought a DIY Concertina sketchbook and painting of the super heroes traveling exhibit.
We had a great time looking at travel sketchbooks by Rebecca and Briande illustrating the Thames river, dogs, Hawaii, hydrangea, and art camp Blue Ridge primrose.
Susan painted lovely trumpet flowers.
Eliza brought a framed painting of Mennello Museum gallery visitors.
Julie painted colorful flowers in a yellow vase.
Faye painted loose flowing flowers and brought some cards made with salt.
Sandi had painted an alligator and Leslie a puffer fish at the Orlando Science Center meet and greet.
Finally, we ended with Roberta handing out the 50/50.
