CityArts Show submissions
January 20 – 30, 2025, Submit paintings on the CFWS website.
• Fees : $20 for one, $25 for two, $30 for three submissions.
February 20, 2025, Notification of acceptance via email.
Sunday March 16, 2025, 11am – 3pm, paintings drop off.
• Drop off framed accepted paintings to CityArts Gallery.
Thursday, March 20, 2025, 4:30 – 9:00pm. Show Opening Reception.
Sunday, April 13, 2025, 11am – 6pm. Artists pick up unsold work.
Entries must be in watercolor or water based medium (watercolor, acrylic in an aqueous manner, gouache, egg tempura, and casein) on paper, Yupo or watercolor canvas boards. Your entry confirms that the work entered is your own, without the help of instructors, and that copyrighted images by others have not been incorporated into your work. AI generated work will NOT be accepted.
ELIGIBILITY:
Current membership status is required. Dues for the 2024-25 season must be paid.
All work is welcome, no theme specified. CFWS reserves the right to decline artwork deemed inappropriate. Artists will be contacted of rejection and can request a discussion with the board.
Submissions will be reviewed by the show jurist, artist Ron Malone, for acceptance. If your work is selected you will be notified via email on Feb. 20, 2025 with drop off March 16th, 11am to 3pm
STEP ONE:
Submit your .jpg file and info via the form below. Consult the Submission JPG FAQ on this website for instructions on preparing your image for submission.
Please, name your image file using this format prior to uploading:
LastName_FirstName_Title of Painting.jpg (Smith_John_Title of Painting.jpg) Correct format helps when cataloging submissions for the juror – thanks for your cooperation.
(We will not be color correcting or cropping images.)
STEP TWO:
Pay your submission fees. Pay online using Paypal and a credit card or, if preferred, mail a check payable to Central Florida Watercolor Society to Central Florida Watercolor Society, PO Box 941512, Maitland, FL 32794-1512.
