On May 21st Leslie, Thouraya and Terri met at Lake Lily for a couple of hours of plein air painting. It was an overcast day by the lake, so the light and shadow contrast was diminished.

Leslie shared a tip with us, she uses a basting brush to get the texture of the grass or reeds by lightly dipping her brush hairs in paint and then dragging across the paper.
