On May 21st Leslie, Thouraya and Terri met at Lake Lily for a couple of hours of plein air painting. It was an overcast day by the lake, so the light and shadow contrast was diminished.
Leslie shared a tip with us, she uses a basting brush to get the texture of the grass or reeds by lightly dipping her brush hairs in paint and then dragging across the paper.
This was our last plein air of the season, so join us next season for a new slate of locations around Central Florida. If there is a scenic place near you, please email your suggestion to Marcela.
