"Pompeii Atrium"
Watercolor, 2020

The central atrium and a beautifully decorated mosaic fountain in the garden of Casa degli Scienziati, which was excavated in 1839 and 1845. This atrium featured a marble table and marble lined fountain. The affluent citizens of Pompeii enjoyed a rich appreciation of beauty in their homes, and especially in their gardens.
